PATTERN | SOMYA SOCKS

The SOMYA socks are worked from the cuff to the toe. After a ribbed hem, a two-colour textured pattern is worked over the foot down to the toes. The classic heel flap and the sole are worked in one colour, so that the top of the foot has to be worked by using the intarsia technique in rounds.

These instructions are for shoe size 39/40. The foot length can be adapted to other sizes by doing more or fewer repetitions of the pattern.

You need:

1 x 50 g (1.76 oz) Pascuali Pinta (60% virgin wool, 20% mulberry silk, 20% ramie) in colour A 
1 x 50 g (1.76 oz) Pascuali Pinta (60% virgin wool, 20% mulberry silk, 20% ramie) in colour B
Colours of the pictured sample:
Colour A: #115 Burgundy
Colour B: #112 Strawberry

US 2.5 (3 mm) DPNs or needle size required to get gauge
