ROSY GREEN WOOL | KANSHOKU 感触

With its softly flowing silhouette, the cardigan Kanshoku 感触, designed by Ririko, swirls around you like waves. Its clean and modern shape adds a subtle and sophisticated elegance to any of your outfits. The wavy drape front panels invite you to wrap them cosily around you, as the cardigan is worn openly. The raglan sleeves and front panels are worked in simple stockinette stitch, while the delicate Daisy Stitch pattern on the back keeps your knitting interesting. Thanks to the wonderful stitch definition of our Cheeky Merino Joy, it shows very beautifully. A subdued colour, like Cedar, emphasizes the gentle look.

With compelling shaping and a pretty Daisy Stitch back panel Kanshoku 感触 offers plenty of knitting interest for advanced knitters. It is knitted top-down, seamlessly in one piece. The neckline is started using the invisible provisional cast-on method, raglan increases are worked to create the yoke section. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold whilst the body is completed and then picked up and knitted in the round. Knitting from top to bottom allows for the cardigan to be easily tried on so that the body and sleeves can be adjusted exactly to your desired length. Short rows are worked to shape the front body panels creating the beautiful draped silhouette.

The pattern is designed with 7 – 14 cm (2.75 – 5.5 in) positive ease at bust circumference.

Kanshoku 感触 was designed for our 2021 collection, to which Rosy gave the theme of touch. This year, we have all become particularly aware of the importance of interpersonal closeness and touch. More and more, however, it is also becoming clear that we belong together worldwide and that what happens on the other side of the globe also touches us. The names of our patterns express this in different languages. Kanshoku 感触 is Japanese and means sense of touch.
